Learn to Code and Launch Your Tech Career for Less
Effective immediately for all new enrolments, the tuition fees for Coder Academy’s 10-month bootcamp will drop from $22,250 to $15,000, offering students savings of over 30 per cent (more than $7,000).
This isn’t just about a price change; it’s about removing barriers to opportunity. Tech is still one of the fastest-growing industries, and we know that learning to code can change lives, as our graduates gain access to an ever-evolving and rewarding new field of work.
By making coding education more affordable, we’re helping more people to future-proof their careers and break into an industry filled with innovation, creativity, and endless possibilities.
Removing Barriers to Opportunity
Helping our students to succeed in a new career has always been at the heart of what we do here at Coder Academy. Whether that’s teaching a student who has never touched a line of code and taking them right through the journey to junior developer, or assisting students to find life-changing scholarship opportunities; we want to break down the barriers that prevent new coders from entering the world of full stack development.
We’re incredibly proud of the achievements of our students and graduates. Even more so when they’ve had to make difficult decisions and overcome hardships to pursue their passions.
Like Leslie, a Coder Academy student and scholarship recipient.
“I was not from a well-off family,” Leslie said, before beginning our bootcamp. “My financial situation has been a big barrier for me to pursue the appropriate technology-related qualifications.”
Jeevan was another Coder Academy student and career changer who knows that pursuing your dream career is not always an easy path.
“As someone who came from a difficult family life growing up, we did not have many opportunities and I did not lay my hands on a computer until I was around 16 years old,” Jeevan said. “Working in child protection also highlighted how many children are currently living in extremely difficult and challenging situations.”
“It’s not easy changing careers at a later age in life, and finances are always topics of difficult discussions.”
Creating Futures in Tech
While we know that a career in tech can offer work that is both fulfilling and financially rewarding, none of that matters if you can’t raise the funds needed to study in the first place.
We know that finances weigh heavily on the minds of our students, especially when deciding whether to make the leap from the life they have always known into an entirely new career.
Ana was juggling two jobs before enrolling with Coder Academy.
“I had no free time: working six days per week,” Ana said. “I was getting burnt out from working so much, barely had any social life and the income I got from all of it didn’t reflect the amount of work I was doing.”
So Ana entered our bootcamp with a simple picture of the life she wanted to live.
“After completing the bootcamp I’m hoping to get a role as a software developer, get my work-life balance in order and be fairly compensated for the work I do.”
Graduating in 2021, Ana is now a successful, full stack software engineer, and she hasn’t looked back.
Why is the Price Changing?
Affordability should not be a barrier to opportunity, and we know that financial stress can impact all areas of our students’ lives.
“Student wellbeing is not just about your physical and mental health,” said Eve Ollerenshaw, Pro Vice Chancellor at NextEd and Convenor of Student Safety & Wellbeing at IHEA. “It is also about… the rising cost of living, and being able to afford to pay rent and eat every day. So one thing we are doing for our future students is reducing our tuition fees.”
“We have listened to your feedback, and acted by making our course more affordable.”
This price adjustment is not a temporary discount or special offer, but a permanent new pricing model designed to support prospective students in their journey towards a career in tech.
